My last post (for now)
It´s crazy that I had never used a blog, even when I consider myself a technologic person. And I have to say, that this was a great experience, because it´s different from facebook or twitter. In Blogger.com you can post whatever you want, without any pressure. In facebook or twitter, your post can be judge by people that don´t even care about what you write, and also can comment. In your blog you can post whatever you want, and the people who read it, it´s people who really want to read it, people that have interest, and people that want to comment to make an attribution.
I think that is always good to practice our english by this kind of things. Writing at least twice a week about everything, keeps our english in a safe place of being forgot.
I have written about a lot of things, things I like, and things that I want people to know. In the future, I would like to write about an ONG that my brother has, it is called "Rescatemos Juan Fernandez", and I think it´s important that people know about it, because they are doing a lot of actions to keep safe the islands from invaders that are putting in risk the biodiversity. Actually, at the end of this year, in my role as a filmmaker I am going to go there to make a video for create awareness.
Bye everyone!
Metacommunication
Well, today i want talk about the future.
I think it´s something complicated, because no one is able to guess the future, but maybe we can predict situations and avoid them by knowing some kind of patterns in the present.
For example, we usually see it in normal interactions with people, when the things are not going well, and fights appear whenever they can. We can predict the sequence of events and metacommunicate to resolve the problem. It is a way out for problems in a relationship, anticipating things that are going to happen in the future.
I know that I started talking about the future in a metaphoric way, and i ended talking like a crazy scientist jaja. But it is something i learned this semester, and probably something that i will never forget.
It´s very useful to know this kind of stuff when you are blind because of a discussion.
I hope you understood what i have said, because I was reading it, and it sounds so weird.
I invite you to read some books about this kind of interpersonal communication.
Here´s a short where this thing is applied:
No me ama
Such a great photo
Every time I see this picture I remember how stressed I was. That´s my team in "Taller documental", and we were editing the final exercise called "El rescate".
The picture was taken by all of us with my computer, and it shows our frozen faces of that night. We passed two nights without sleeping in Nacha´s home, it was awful.
It was taken four days ago, and I don´t know why i like it so much, i should hate this picture, but instead of that, it reminds me how far I can go when I want to finish something.
In the photo we see starting on the left Francina, Nacha, me, and Cony. I think they are amazing, and together we are such a fantastic team every time we create artistic things. It is very nice to work with them, we always have a great time, and get laugh about all.
Here is the picture, and also shot made by us:

Blog Session 6 - CHC
As I am free to choose a topic. Now i want to talk about a famous chilean band that now has been forgotten. This band was called CHC, and it was a band that played pop and hip-hop songs for around eight years, starting at 2001 and ending in 2009.
They released three official albums, and it was the third one that caught my attention. Its name was "La cosa", and all i can say about it are good things.
Actually this album, it was announced by the rolling stone magazine in the 35º place of the 50º best chilean albums of all time.
One of the interesting things is that one of the member of the band, nowadays, is the famous Pedro Piedra. And also, the famous filmmaker Sebastian Silva, who directed "The maid", "Old cats", "Crystal fairy" and "magic magic".
I invite you to listen this band. They are not together, but their songs are still alive.
Enjoy.

My frozen metal piece of technology
I´m a big fan of technology since i was a kid. But many of the things i wanted, i couldn´t afford them, so they just stayed in my dreams. Nowadays technology is cheap, and i think everyone can access to it.
So now i can say that my favourite piece of technology is a macbook pro 13.3" and i have one in my hands.
I bought it a few months ago in the US thanks to an uncle of mine who lives there. Of course i didn´t get it for free, and neither my parents bought for me (it was too expensive). I got a job last summer in Bahia Inglesa, working as a Bartender in a restaurant, so with that money i paid my new laptop.
I have to say it feels so good to pay by yourself something you really wanted by not asking someone else.
I dind´t want a macbook pro just because the sofisticated design. I wanted it because the performance of those computers it is so great. And of course that helps when you use it in a career like Film and television.
So as may be thinking, i use it everyday. It is a useful tool, and that´s why i like it.
Without it my life would´t be so bad and of course i would find the way to do my stuff.
i´m not going to die if i don´t have a macbook of course, but as i was saying, it helps you a lot.

A very useful website...
Here's the link of one the websites i enjoy visiting
http://www.cinechile.cl/
Well, as you have noticed, the page it's obviously about films from Chile. But the great things is that it has like an inventory of all the chilean films from known and unknown directors with free access. Yes, you can watch all the films for free.
So, we can catalog this website an encyclopedia.
I've been visiting this website for a couple of years, but since i'm studying film and television the visits have increased, and i have to admit that this page is a really useful tool.
It has a lot of sections, but it's not so complicated to browse what you are looking for. That's because the design is simple, and allows you to get in. It's the perfect guide for a begginner.
It contains fiction and non fiction films (also known as documentary films), shorts, and animation films. Also nes, interviews, essays, films that are being exhibited, etc.
If you continue browsing, you can find a section of film critics from experts, archives with the story of the invention of the first camera, and a lot more.
I really like this site, because it is the only resource i have to watch movies that are not being sold in commercial stores. So invite you to visit it.

To my ears
I have
plenty of bands in my head right now, but there´s one i always follow by
different bars in Santiago. They create songs in english with all this indie
rock style shipped directly from england. And the good news is that they are
from Chile, so when i always feel the need of having a good concert, i don´t
need to waste a lot of money with bands like Radiohead, The killers or any of
them.
I´ve been
listening this band for two years more or less, and they have mutated i think
since the first day i listened them.
At the
first time they called themselves "The grand". But there was another
band with that name in other country. So they changed it to "We are
the grand". That change in the name came together with a change in their
style. And now i like them more.
I met them
at the first time reading the magazine Rolling Stone, because there was an
interview of the vocalist. His name is Sebastian Gallardo and he studied to be
a musician in Uniacc at the first time, but then he went to england to study in
a very important university of performing arts.
So when i
finished reading all the interview, i went to youtube and i search them. They
were so good that i listened they first EP all afternoon.
The rest of
the members of the band are really talented, and of course that´s the reason of
why "We are the grand" had a lot of success. Actually, last year they
were invited from Lotus productions to participate in Santiago biggest concert
ever, i´m talking of Lollapalooza. And as you may be thinking i was there.
I dind´t mention that since
the first day i met them till now they have created 2 EP´s and one LP
(longplay), so jaja it is a very hard task to determine one song as my
favourite since I have a lot of songs of them in my playlist.
But anyways, i think my
favourite song of them is "Perfume". I´m leaving here the link of the
song played in the late show of Julio Cesar Rodriguez, also known as
"Siganme los buenos"
I don´t know why exactly i
like it more than the rest of the songs. But i think that many of the reasons
of why, are related with the rhythm and the lyrics. They get mixed in a
singular way that makes my heart rate just fly.
I can´t stop mentioning
that in one of the gigs i went from WATG (We are the grand), i met this
other band i also follow. They call themselves "Intimate
Stranger"...and they impressed me. Here i leave the link of a interesting
video called "El horizonte".
Enjoy.

Reflectgraphy
Hi,
My parents 20 years ago decided to name me Nicolás Ignacio Tabilo Sanhueza, and at some point that makes me real sense, because i think that creating a name tells a lot more from the parents than the boy or girl that they call their son. Anyways, I identify myself with that name and i like to be called "Nico".
I was born in Santiago, Chile in 1992, but my parents decided to migrate to the coast inmediately, and the place choosen was San Antonio.
I have two older brothers. Diego, and Manuel, and we all went to the same school in San Antonio. Hey, the funny thing is that i am getting realize now that the three of us had the same; elementary, secondary and university education. And we are so different.
My mom is 53 right now and my dad 56, they`ve been married for 33 years. My mother´s name is Veronica, and my father`s name is Marcelo. And they are that typical chilean couple that work so hard all week to finally watch futbol on sundays or order movies.
I had a lot of hobbies related with the activities of a filmmaker (i forgot to mention that i am studying film and television). So, now i can`t call hobbies editing, shooting, or watching film. I could say that my hobbies right now are eating, and sleeping jaja. As good as it sounds.
